As luck would have it my father was rarely around. I had a great-uncle who was just that a “Great Uncle Leo,” it was he who mentored me into manhood and gave me my love of the outdoors… he introduced me to hunting, fishing and wilderness camping… I lost him when I was thirteen, he died doing what he loved, fishing his favorite north-woods lake on an early spring morning. He is forever in my heart…
